David trained and worked in the City of London until joining Pannone in 1994. He was made a partner in 1997.
David has until recently run the business of the Employment department and so is well placed to understand the legal and practical implications of being an employer. David’s experience encompasses both contentious and non-contentious work which spans the lifetime of the employment relationship: from best practice in recruitment, supporting HR and line managers in handling employee issues, managing dismissals and Employment Tribunal representation. David specialises in particular in executive termination (acting for both employees and employers), restrictive covenant drafting and enforcement by injunctive action (both prosecuting and defending such claims), the employment implications of corporate restructuring, outsourcing and TUPE issues. David has advised on a number of actions where there is an international dimension.
His work also includes advisory assistance to HR Directors, managers and their teams as well as to Boards, line managers and owners of businesses.
He is co-ordinator of the Employment Law Grouping within the Pannone Law Group and writes on maternity rights for a leading employment law text book.
