Position: Partner & Head of Corporate Recovery & Insolvency department

Richard is a Partner and Head of the Corporate Recovery and Insolvency unit.

Richard specialises in Corporate and Commercial Law with a non-contentious, insolvency bias, particularly Administrations and Receiverships and their subsequent business and asset sales.

Over the past few years he has dealt with many complex and large-scale cases, including recently the administration and sale of Wrexham Association Football Club and the receivership and sale of Totem Communications Limited to Carphone Warehouse. He is a frequent speaker on legal and commercial issues arising from insolvencies as they affect secured lenders, unsecured creditors, landlords, directors and insolvency practitioners. Richard is a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner and a Fellow of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals, a member of the Insolvency Lawyers Association and a member of the Turnaround Management Association.

Richard graduated in Law and American Studies from the University of Keele and gained a postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies before training at Morgan Cole. He was admitted as a solicitor in 1986 and was a Partner with both Eversheds and Hammonds before joining Pannone LLP in 2001.
