Managing Partner of Commercial Property

David joined Stephensons in September 1993, having graduated from Keele University with a First Class Honours Degree in Law and Computer Science and then Chester College of Law. David qualified as a Solicitor in February 1996, and has been specialising predominantly in Commercial Property since, a field in which David is recommended in by the Legal 500. He was appointed as a Partner in 1999, and became Managing Partner of the Commercial Real Estate team in 2001, becoming a Deputy Chair of the Operational Board in April 2008. David specialises in all areas of Commercial Property work, including but not limited to:

• Commercial Development
• Acquisition and Disposal
• Investment and Portfolio transactions including legal management
• Construction
• Landlord and Tenant Law
• Commercial Finance

In 2008 David was appointed to the Regeneration Panel at Wigan Metropolitan Borough Council, the role of the Panel is to review, monitor and make recommendations regarding the social and economic regeneration of the Borough.

On a personal note, David despite his appearance is a keen runner. In 1999 David ran the London Marathon raising funds for the charity “Children’s Wish”. He has continued running, including running on several occasions the Great North Run, and more recently the Hawkshead 14k trail race. Recently he has also taken up playing golf, though is currently playing to a rather poor standard.
