Neal was born in Wigan and studied for a Law Degree at the University of Manchester before qualifying as a Solicitor in 1983.

He joined Stephensons in 1991 and works in a team of lawyers that practice in Wigan, St Helens, Bolton and Manchester.

In addition to general criminal practice he has specialist knowledge of regulatory prosecutions and corporate criminal defence work.
